How well do you know your mind?
There is a theory that early humans' minds were not arranged the way ours are. The unconscious mind, rather than being a silent partner in your head, was thought to be like an external person talking to you.
Of course, nowadays your mind works in different ways, because your mind focuses on the conscious mind, your awake self, and you rarely notice your unconscious, though you feel its touch when your mind and body relax, and as you sit there, and you feel yourself breathing, and your unconscious' touch becomes a pull.
And it's as if you know you want to let go and drop, and that gentle pull of your unconscious mind is gentle yet strong, and you've always found it easy to let your awake self go and drop away, and your unconscious wants it and your body wants it and you want it too, to drop and enter trance.
