The initial inductions are probably the most fun part of hypnosis, and the hardest part. The hardest part is getting the subject to actually agree to be hypnotised in the first place.
Fear and trust play the largest part in determining the success or failure of a hypnotic induction. Fear displaces trust, and fear kills the hypnotic state.
In order to succeed in hypnosis, you really need that sense of trust.
