Relaxation Techniques

There are few worse ways to start hypnotising people, than by the hypnotist looking at you and saying "I want you to relax."

The hypnotist can want all they like. You must want to relax, right now, all on your own.

There's no two ways about it. It's not what the hypnotist wants. It's all about you, relaxing, letting go, like that. They can talk to you all they want - until you know when and how to relax, and you want to relax, the induction can take all day if necessary, until you begin to let go by yourself.

Until the kinks and knots in your body make their way out of you all by themselves. You can let go, then, when you notice how much your body has released that tension and you feel loose all over.

And the hypnotist cannot tell you to notice the part of your body that is most relaxed, most comfortable, most loose and, right there and then, notice how the relaxation spreads from that spot to the whole of your body in a spreading wave of pleasure.

Because a person can, you know, only let go when you want it to happen.

But suppose you can relax, and experience that letting go as if you can't help but relax. What then, when your conscious mind is letting go as much as your body's muscles, and the more you let go of your body, the more you let go of your mind, too, to the point where you even find yourself on the edge of your conscious experience, and you can even let go, let it all go, and drop beyond that edge, and your unconscious mind can click here and relax further and follow further instructions.
