One way you can test the depth of your hypnotic commands is through convincers - a simple instruction you implant that will take effect upon waking.
My favourite convincer is to just get the subject to stand up. You wouldn't believe the number of times I've heard a subject's cries of surprise over the phone when, for no apparent reason, they suddenly find themselves standing up.
I use other convincers, too. I've made a subject intensely thirsty all of a sudden, or suddenly hot or cold. One subject received a lovely convincer - her taste buds' sensitivity to flavours was magnified when she put food in her mouth. First time I ever saw someone climax from just eating a Trebor Extra Strong Mint.
Convincers don't just work for the subject, either. They work for you, the tist. A convincer serves not only to show the subject that hypnosis works, and that you the tist can do these amazing things. A convincer that works instills confidence in the hypnotist, too.
