I've enjoyed implanting suggestions in a good many wonderful subjects, now. But sometimes I get a subject that resists. A subject who remembers the trance, and who in effect never really went into the trance much in the first place.
They can't help it, I suppose.
So when can you give such people instructions and triggers? I've worked it out.
During the inductions themselves.
When using a coffee maker, you might not like the bitterness of the product, and want to take the sting out of your cup. So usually, the trick is to put in a dash of water into your coffee cup. But what f you want the whole jug to be smooth like this? I pour the dash of water into the empty jug prior to turning on the coffee maker. The coffee comes into the water, and the whole coffee pot tastes smooth.
So it is with trancing. When you're inducing, the words come thick and fast, a confusing stream. This is intentional. Knock the conscious mind off kilter and push it away altogether within the next few seconds so it won't come back until the trance ends. But between telling the mind to "go deeper ... deeper ..." and the trance deepening vignettes, try breaking up a simple suggestion into smaller chunks. Put a suggestion in there, and follow it up immediately with more deepening suggestions before the conscious mind can react.
Example -
'Now go deeper. With each breath, go in deeper. Deeper. Deeper. More and more relaxed. It feels so good to be so relaxed and you are going even further and deeper, which is wonderful, and it's even more wonderful that every time I say the word "slave" and a command you'll obey it without even knowing you've been given a command, and right now you're so good and in such a good place and it's better still when you're going deeper ... deeper ... further and further down ..." and so on.
When you get to the deep trance, you can have as much fun with your client as you like; but the triggers and commands are far more likely to be followed if you sandwich them between the other instructions.
Try that, and see what happens. Might be, you're going to find your clients will listen to you just fine when you've put them deep into trance; but for awkward clients, this might be your best shot for giving them triggers that they'll accept and which will work during their waking state.
