Changing Viewpoints

I have a long term client, whom I have tranced regularly now, for weeks. I just talk to her and use a command to send her straight into a deep trance, then leave her instructions.

This week I decided on doing something different. I didn't work on an instruction for her to do; I worked on an instruction that would change the way she saw things.

Hypnotists do this all the time. They change the world view of smokers to that of non-smokers who happen to smoke, for example.

I induced a trance in this person, then gave her this instruction.

"You have always accepted whatever I do as normal and natural, and now you are also going to accept my going around without clothes on as a normal and natural thing. It is the most normal and natural thing n the world for me to remove my clothes in front of you. It is something you see all the time, and it is normal and natural.'

After the trance, I restored the subject's consciousness - and then spent the next half an hour removing some of my clothes, putting them on, walking around half naked, and finally removing everything and walking about in front of her with nothing on at all.

And she was only concerned with the time.

This was curiously liberating.
